Youth Center After School 

Grades 6-12

The Youth Center After School Program is accepting registrations for the 2019-2020 school year. The After School Program is open to middle school students in grades 6th-8th. Semester and year-long memberships are available. Registration is available online or at the Pacific Grove Youth Center.

Teach Me To...

Ages 3-6

The program offers children an opportunity to learn a new skill with their parent by their side. Participants will be given the tools and direction to complete a project together in an uplifting and educational environment. Daily projects include crafts, cooking, building, gardening & more.   

Elementary Art Class

Grades K-5

Children will learn the foundations of art such as color, texture, technique, and composition. Projects will include drawing, painting, sculpting and more.


Ages 4-8

Classes allow students to move, play and stretch using kid-friendly music, games, and props. Participants will gain coordination, motor skills, control and strength through basic dance techniques.

Afro-Latin Jazz Dance

Ages 8-18

Classes offer a blend of Jazz, Afro-Caribbean, Afro-Latin, and Ballet techniques that include Dunham Isolation Techniques, dance and calisthenic warm-ups, stretches, center-of-floor, and across-the-floor work, pirouettes, choreography, and freestyle improv. Dancers will develop stamina, strength, flexibility, technique, and confidence.


Ages 3-5

Classes allow students to explore the concepts of ballet. Students will have an opportunity to work with props, as well as be exposed to many classical composers.

Tap Dance

Ages 3-18

Classes allow students to explore the concepts of tap dance. Routines will emphasize using the heel, ball, and toe of the tap shoe and understand the relationship between movement and music.
