Amy Tomlinson Biography

Amy Tomlinson has over 20 years of leadership and management experience within high-profile programs; strong background in instructing, mentoring, and project management; experience includes combat operations, flight training, team building, planning, risk management, data analysis, public speaking and personnel management.
Amy has served her country as a Naval Aviator for 20 years, flying in the F-14 Tomcat and F/A-18 Super Hornet as a Weapons System Officer. She has accumulated more than 1600 flight hours and 220 carrier arrested landings. Amy served with the Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron the Blue Angels for a two-year assignment. As the team’s only Naval Flight Officer she worked as the Events Coordinator and served as a role model across the country invoking interest and excitement in the next generation of Naval Officers and Sailors. Amy was the first female aviator ever selected to serve with the Blue Angels.
Amy currently works as a project development director at Concentric Power, an intelligent microgrid developer with a proven track record in agricultural, industrial, and community applications. Amy works hard to provide power that is resilient, reliable, cost effective, sustainable, and local.
Amy holds a BA Degree in Public Relations from the University of Southern California and a Master’s in Business Administration from Santa Clara University.
Amy lives in Pacific Grove, CA with her husband and two young children. In 2018 she was elected to serve her community as a City Council Member working to provide high quality and professional public services that address community needs while enhancing quality of life in an iconic seaside community that protects historic resources, promotes sustainable development and ensures respect for the environment.
