The Library Board consist of five members appointed to staggered terms of four years. The board was created by the City Charter to serve in an advisory capacity to the Council and City Manager in all matters pertaining to the operation of the public library.

MISSION STATEMENT:The Library Board advises and advocates for the needs of the library and the public it serves in support of excellence in collections and service. In partnership with the City Council, City Manager, Library Friends and Foundation and the Library Director, the board serves as a trusted source of recommendations for policy, funding, strategy, planning, and implementation. Board members are ambassadors for library services and credible voices from the community.

Meetings, Minutes & AgendasAgendas are typically posted 72 hours prior to each meeting. Minutes are posted after they are approved. Agendas and minutes will be accessible on the website for approximately 24 months.
