ARREST

Pacific Grove, California:

Today, at 12:30 pm, officers responded to reports of a suspicious person in the Fairway Shopping Center parking lot on Forest Avenue. The subject was behaving erratically and waving a handgun before leaving the property in a Grey Honda. One witness provided the license plate number and officers located the vehicle and completed a high-risk traffic stop.

At approximately 12:37 pm, the suspect was taken into custody without incident in the area of Sydia and Ransford. Officers recovered a replica firearm and suspected narcotics. 

Joshua Kim (27) out of Marina was arrested for possession of illegal substances, brandishing a firearm, and threats. Kim is being booked at Monterey County Jail.

During the event, police requested local schools be placed on lockdown. The lockdown was lifted shortly thereafter.
