ARREST ON NINE FELONY COUNTS

Pacific Grove, California:
In April 2022, a victim reported sexual assault crimes that occurred in 2019 when the victim was 17 years old and the suspect 22-23 years old.

After a thorough investigation, and collaboration with the Monterey County District Attorney’s Office, Pacific Grove Police Detectives received an arrest warrant for the identified suspect.

Today, on June 14, 2022 at approximately 7:30 am, the Pacific Grove Police Department served the warrant and arrested Andrew Chyo (26), out of Pacific Grove, for nine felony counts of oral copulation with a minor with a bail set at $1.89 million. He was subsequently transported to Monterey County Jail.

In addition to residing in Pacific Grove, Chyo has also volunteered and worked in the local Pacific Grove community.
