As of October 1, 2019 street sweeping services are contracted with Accent Clean Sweep.

Your Sweep Day Residential streets are swept once a month between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Move Your CarMove vehicles off the street on your sweep day. One parked car equals nearly three car lengths of space that can't be swept because the street sweeper must leave room to avoid it.

Here are some additional things you can do for a more effective sweep:

  • Street sweepers avoid broken curbs and gutters, which damage their equipment. Repairing broken curbs and gutters is the homeowner’s responsibility. For specifications or questions, contact the Department of Public Works at (831) 648-5722.
  • Do not sweep or deposit leaves and yard trimmings in the street. The sweeper is not designed to pick up piles of landscape debris.
  • Remove large items by hand. The sweeper is not capable of picking up large items such as flattened cardboard boxes, magazines, branches, or fast food bags stuffed with cups and wrappers. These items should be picked up by hand and deposited in the trash can.
  • Remove portable basketball hoops and RV access ramps from the street or gutter.
