As of 7/8/2020, the state health officer has issued an order for Monterey County which imposes new restrictions as part of statewide actions to slow the spread of coronavirus.
This order will take effect Wednesday, July 8th, and remain in effect for at least three weeks. These restrictions can only be changed or modified by another state health order.
Monterey County is subject to these restrictions because it is exceeding state health indicators and was placed on the State’s “watch list.” The order requires some businesses and activities to move their activities outdoors and some businesses to close completely.
