The Monterey County Health Department has partnered with California National Guard and California Testing Task Force to offer FREE pop-up drive through COVID-19 testing sites at rotating Monterey County locations. The first testing sites will be in Castroville and Gonzales starting this Thursday, October 8th. Testing will continue through Friday, October 16th.

Testing is open to Monterey County residents with symptoms and without symptoms. Testing is recommended for healthcare workers, first responders, caretakers to high risk individuals, individuals considered close contacts to others with COVID-19, and anyone that is concerned that they may have been exposed to COVID-19.
Testing will be first come, first served No appointment needed. Testing is available for anyone 18 years of age and older. If you have a valid ID, please bring it with you to testing site to expedite registration and results reporting processes. Testing is safe and confidential. Bilingual services available. Taking advantage of these FREE tests does not affect immigration status.
"This mobile testing opportunity has been made possible by a partnership with the State Testing Task Force and the California National Guard as well as all of the community partners who agreed to host these event" said Elsa Jimenez, Health Director for Monterey County. "We encourage the community to take advantage of this testing opportunity. Especially our front line workers, those who care for high risk individuals, those who know they have been exposed and anyone who is concerned that they may have been exposed to COVID-19."
The tests will be processed at a State of California lab. Monterey County Health Department staff will contact individuals to provide test results.
