Planning Commission

The Planning Commission consists of seven members appointed to staggered terms of four years. The Commission was created by the City Charter to make recommendations to the Council and City Manager in all matters pertaining to the physical development of the City. The Commission's powers and duties include recommending to the City Council the adoption, amendment, or repeal of a General Plan, or any part thereof; exercising such functions with respect to land subdivisions, planning and zoning as may be prescribed by ordinance or resolution. The Commission also performs such other duties relating to planning and zoning as the Council may require, or as may be prescribed by the General Laws of the State.

Contact the Planning Commission Note: In order to receive due consideration by the Planning Commission, written communications pertaining to agenda items should be submitted by 9 A.M. the day prior to the meeting.

Meetings

Agendas are typically posted 72 hours prior to each meeting. Minutes are posted after they are approved. Agendas and minutes will be accessible on the website for approximately 24 months.
