Published: Jan 19, 2021
The Monterey County Environmental Health Bureau announces that information is available through the Monterey County Health Department website to guide residents in their efforts to see if the facility has turned in required Social Distancing and Mask Compliance form.

Links to the compliance chart, resources, and protocols in line with the State of California’s reopening guidelines are available by visiting: http://www.mtyhd.org/covid-19-foodsafety

Through this website, the public will find links to guide a restaurant business in reopening while still following the key preventive practices per the guidance:

  • Take Out Only practices
  • Physical distancing to the maximum extent possible
  • Use of face coverings by employees (where respiratory protection is not required) and customers/clients
  • Frequent handwashing and regular cleaning and disinfection
  • Training employees on these and other elements of the COVID-19 prevention plan

“In this unprecedented time, it is important we all work together; the restaurant industry, the customers and your local government, for public health; for the entire county to participate in keeping us moving forward, together.” stated Ric Encarnacion, Monterey County Environmental Health Acting Bureau Chief.
