Public Notice: The Housing Authority of the County of Monterey (HACM) will be accepting applications for four Project Based Program Wait Lists begining on Monday, August 7, 2017 to Thursday, August 31, 2017. The Housing Applications will be available at the HACM central office located at 123 Rico Street, Salinas in Salinas or on the HACM website.
Note: This is not for the Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) list. Applications will not be available at apartment complexes.

The Housing Division administers several programs that help to improve, preserve and increase the supply of affordable housing in the City. It is the policy and intention of the City of Pacific Grove to comply in all of its policies and procedures affecting all of its programs and activities, including employment and housing, with all appropriate regulations prohibiting discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, age, family status or persons with disabilities.
The Housing Division also applies for and receives grants for housing studies and programs, monitors compliance with City restrictions on affordable housing units, and coordinates the City's efforts to develop and maintain senior housing opportunities.
Housing Programs include: Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program, Sewer Loan Program, Emergency Home Repairs Loan Program, and the Affordable Housing Monitoring Program. Emergency Home Repair Program provides loans up to $10,000 for emergency home repairs. The Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program provides loans up to $60,000 for home repairs (Click here for Application). Sewer Lateral Loan Program provides low interest loan up to $10,000 to repair or replace your private sewer lateral. These loans are available to all residents and there are no income requirements. These loans are repayment deferred and no monthly payments are required.
